AdamsPlace broke ground on a new 13,469 square-foot Memory Care Center Tuesday morning. The new center will expand its Assisted Living services, according to Buckley Winfree, administrator.

This new $3.9 million Memory Care addition will allow AdamsPlace to expand memory care services for residents suffering from illnesses such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease. This addition will provide 23 private apartments in a specially designed area to meet the needs of these residents

AdamsPlace currently offers Residential Living and Assisted Living, as well as specialized services such as Continuing Care and Rehabilitation Care. Winfree said this addition will be a great asset to the Murfreesboro community and the surrounding area.

"We are pleased to be able to expand our campus with this new Memory Care addition," Winfree said. "There is a growing need for these services among the broader population, and we are proud to be able to provide them right here in our AdamsPlace community."

The addition was designed by Johnson + Bailey Architects and is being constructed by American Constructors. Construction on the new Memory Care addition is expected to be complete by early July.
