Amedisys, Inc., one of the nation's leading home health care and hospice companies, recently announced a partnership between the Amedisys Foundation and Dream Foundation, the only national dream-granting organization for terminally ill adults. Through this newly formed partnership, Amedisys hospice care centers across the nation will have an opportunity to turn a patient's dream into reality.

Over the past two decades, Dream Foundation has given life to more than 25,000 dreams, which can be anything that improves the quality of life of the dreamer -- a lift chair, a scooter, the funds to pay a long-overdue bill, a special family celebration or a trip.

"We're excited to join with Dream Foundation to honor the dreams of hospice patients," said Amedisys President and CEO Paul Kusserow. "Of course, fulfilling the needs of patients, whether physical, emotional or spiritual, is what we already do every hour of every day. But through the partnership between Amedisys Foundation and Dream Foundation, we're going to get the opportunity to deliver on an even bigger scale."
