Since divesting its Total Population Health Business to Sharecare, Healthways, Inc. has announced a new organizational structure believed to allow the company to more effectively execute its strategy to drive growth and strong financial performance.

"With a heightened emphasis on targeted population health for the 50+ population, our new organizational structure will support Healthways, Inc.'s 'A-B-C' strategy designed to add new members and build engagement among current members in our existing three networks -SilverSneakers®, Prime® Fitness and Physical Medicine - while at the same time identifying ways to collaborate with partners to develop new products and services," said Healthways CEO Donato Tramuto.

In addition to Chief Legal Officer Mary Flipse, the following leaders and/or roles will report to Tramuto:

Chief Growth Officer Steve Janicak will focus on adding and retaining membership in Healthways' existing three networks. He joins Healthways from CareCentrix, where he served as chief sales and marketing officer. Janicak has more than 30 years of sales and marketing leadership experience with specific expertise in working with Medicare and managed care clients.

Chief Information Officer Paul Edmisten is responsible for all aspects of information technology (IT), data management and business intelligence strategy. Edmisten has served as the interim CIO at Healthways for 12 months in a consulting role and has more than 30 years of experience enabling, transforming and delivering technology for large organizations.

Longtime Chief Accounting Officer Glenn Hargreaves, has been appointed interim CFO by the Healthways Board of Directors, replacing Robert E. Dries who joined the company in August but parted ways "in mutual agreement with the company" a short time later. Hargreaves has served in a number of financial roles throughout his career. He joined Healthways in 2005 as director of tax, before becoming controller in 2011 and CAO in 2012.

Searches are currently underway for a chief experience officer and chief operating and product officer. Currently, 27-year Healthways veteran Janet Calhoun is serving as interim CXO. Additionally, Joy Powell, the current network solutions COO will transition to executive advisor to the CEO. In this role, Powell will focus on the further development of partnership opportunities within Healthways' current client footprint. As a result of the company's new strategic direction and organizational alignment, Network Solutions President Sid Stolz left the company effective Sept. 15, 2016.
