Aug. 10: Matthew Walker Comprehensive Health Center To Host Free Annual Pan-cake Breakfast And Block Party

Matthew Walker Comprehensive Health Center (MWCHC), Nashville's oldest non-profit medical center, has announced further details surrounding their annual Pancake Breakfast and Block Party. The event will take place August 10 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at its Nashville clinic,1035 14th Ave N, Nashville, TN 37208.

The annual Pancake Breakfast and Block Party is a daylong celebration of food, music and health. Enjoy free pancakes from 9:00 - 11:00 AM and free hot dogs from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM. Music and entertainment will be provided as well as a photo booth, games and vendors. MWCHC will showcase over fifteen agencies including Prevent Child Abuse TN, Metro Social Services and much more.

This event is part of National Health Center Week, happening the week of August 4th-10th, to raise awareness about the mission and accomplishments of America's Health Centers and the dedicated staff who bring health care to the medically underserved.

Mayor David Briley, Juvenile Court Clerk Lonnell Matthews, Jr. and Criminal Court Clerk Howard Gentry will all join MWCHC staff in serving pancakes during the event.

"The Pancake Breakfast is one of our favorite traditions here at MWCHC," says Katina Beard, CEO of MWCHC. "It is the perfect opportunity to bring all our partners together for a daylong celebration of our community."
