Vanderbilt Hosts Epilepsy Symposium

Epilepsy patients and their families will learn the latest information on the condition and how to better manage it when Vanderbilt University Medical Center hosts a symposium Saturday, April 4, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Taking place in Wilson Hall on 21st Avenue, the symposium will feature Vanderbilt adult and pediatric physicians from several disciplines including epilepsy, neurosurgery, and psychiatry, along with consultants from the Epilepsy Foundation. Lecture topics include: upcoming epilepsy treatments, mood disorders, children's issues, surgical management of epilepsy, hormonal effects, available resources for families, autism and epilepsy, dietary management of seizures, stimulation and implants for seizure control, and available medications.
