The House has passed by an overwhelming margin -- 392-26 -- legislation called 21st Century Cures, a bill that Senator Alexander helped write and has been working on for 2 years. This is legislation that will affect virtually every Tennessean. Sen. Alexander, who chairs the Senate health committee, held 12 hearings, 4 markups, created 5 working groups and conducted dozens of meetings to help craft this bill along with Senate health committee Ranking Member Patty Murray and House health committee Chairman Fred Upton and Ranking Member Frank Pallone.
