"Take Good Care" is a soul-stirring, genre-busting document of hope by an artist, a survivor, and a healer, that calls for coming up for air. Kicking off on May 6, National Nurses Day with the release of the title track, Megan Palmer will release one song each week as part of Nurses Month (May) and National Cancer Survivor Month (June).

At six years old, she sat down at a piano with her grandfather to learn 'Heart and Soul.' Six albums later, she has built a rich body of work, weaving heartstrings together with her multi-instrumentalist skills.
Megan mines those rich layers to send soothing harmonies from one soul to another. In short, Megan cares. She lives for making a difference--on a guitar or in the emergency room. In the palliative care unit of Nashville's Vanderbilt Medical Center where she works as a registered nurse, empathy takes center stage. As a cancer survivor, Megan knows what it's like to be on the other side.
Nashville being a company town, even its prominent hospital employs talented artists. When the city was hit by a deadly tornado and the pandemic last March, live music ground to a halt.
COVID-19 began tearing down the doors and coming for everyone in sight. Megan turned to music as medicine. "Take Good Care" is a five-song EP, written with her co-workers to process complex emotions while continuing to bring compassion to end-of-life care, regardless of their workload on the frontlines.
As Palmer explains: "The EP commemorates this past year as a time capsule that we will never forget' says Palmer. "Caring for each other and ourselves in these times is imperative to surviving as a nurse when there is so much turmoil."
