Experienced Execs Help Lead Company Growth

NASHVILLE --- Graham Healthcare Capital (GHCC) today announced the promotion of Jim Ward to Managing Director and Michele Oglesby to Senior Operating Partner of the Nashville-based healthcare firm.

Both had previously served as Vice-Presidents of the company.  In addition to her position as Senior Operating Partner, Oglesby has served as the interim CEO of Clarus, the company’s SaaS call management platform.

In making the announcement, GHCC Managing Partner David Curtis said the promotions reflect Ward’s and Oglesby’s roles in the company’s success and in its future growth.  "Michele and Jim have been instrumental in our getting established and in building out our team and our portfolio,” he said. “They are two very capable and seasoned executives with a wealth of healthcare experience and deep roots in Nashville.  We are thrilled to have them continue to lead our team at GHCC and celebrate with them in these well-deserved promotions."

Ward came to GHCC in 2018 and has over fifteen years of experience as a financial manager, investment banker, and advisor to middle-market companies. His experience includes membership at 2nd Generation Capital, LLC, where he spent much of his time advising small enterprises on financial strategy, helping clients raise debt or equity capital, and developing relationships with private equity, mezzanine, and debt capital providers throughout the country. He also founded Southeast Acquisition Capital, a company designed to facilitate business ownership transition in the Southeast.

Oglesby brings two decades of expertise in organizational growth and a proven track record in driving profitability in healthcare. She joined the Graham Healthcare Capital team in 2021 as the Vice President of Strategic Initiatives. She serves as an advisor to the portfolio companies on strategy, executive talent acquisition, and driving performance metrics to ensure successful transition to meet company goals. Previously, Oglesby served as the Chief Operation and Compliance Officer for Bridge Connector, which delivered integration solutions for healthcare organizations. Prior to that, she served as the Division Vice President for Amsurg, a leading provider of physician-led and ambulatory-surgery services from 2013 to 2018.

“This is an exciting and changing time in healthcare,” Ward stated, “one that has already resulted in new acquisitions for Graham. I look forward to exploring more of these opportunities, all designed to serve our healthcare mission while meeting the goals of our investors, our companies, and their customers.”

Oglesby cited the opportunities for the company to have a major impact in Nashville’s healthcare environment. “The range of our healthcare areas along with our focus on long-term value creation make Graham a vibrant company in Nashville,” she said. “I am pleased to be a part of delivering distinctive solutions to enhance the overall healthcare environment.”

Ward graduated cum laude from Princeton University and beta gamma sigma from the MBA program at Vanderbilt University’s Owen School of Management. He is currently treasurer of the Association of Corporate Growth (ACG) Tennessee.

Oglesby holds a MMHC (Master of Management in Health Care) from Vanderbilt University’s Owen School of Management, as well as an MSHA (Master of Health Services Administration) and a BS degree in biology from Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN. She volunteers in nonprofit initiatives to improve communities and serves as an advisor for Project Healthcare at the Nashville Entrepreneur Center.
