Nashville - Nashville General, a national leading public safety net hospital, is delighted to announce Melanie Thomas’ appointment to the 10th inaugural class of the Nashville Health Care Council Fellows Program. This opportunity is another example of Nashville General’s continued focus on improving the quality and delivery of care to all in the Nashville and Davidson County community.
The five-month intensive program is led by a faculty of industry experts who will address topics such as innovation from inside and outside healthcare, social determinants of health, and how to transform the industry to be more equitable and inclusive. For the first time, Nashville Health Care Council Fellows will partner with Optum Innovation Center for a special session on data and technology for Fellows in our nation’s capital, Washington D.C.
“I am deeply honored to be selected for the 2023 class of fellows,” says Melanie Thomas, chief information officer, Nashville General Hospital. “Our goal as a hospital is to provide equitable access to healthcare and education for our community, and I am excited to collaborate with an outstanding class of individuals from all facets of healthcare who are driven to improve healthcare in Tennessee.”
