Since the company's inception in 1991, Adams has served as chairman of this publicly traded senior living real estate investment firm, which owns more than 200 properties in 32 states. He was the company's president until 2009 and CEO until 2011 when he retired from those posts. Until 2004, Adams also served as president and CEO of National HealthCare Corporation and remains on the board.
