BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee recently announced Crystal Privett as director of service operations for member benefits administration. Privett will lead teams providing customer service and claims support for the company's commercial and Marketplace members. In her new role, she will oversee a variety of functions including employee training and development, performance optimization, benefits coordination, customer service and support operations.
A 26-year veteran of BlueCross, Privett has held a variety of leadership positions related to claims, customer service, research, training and quality. She most recently served as manager of provider operations support for the commercial line of business as well as the BlueCard service line, which works with a national program to help members obtain health care services while traveling or living in another Blue Plan's service area. She earned her business degree from the University of Tennessee Chattanooga and is also a graduate of UTC's Executive Leadership Program.
