MMCV, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Meharry Medical College, has announced the selection of Reginald Holt as the organization’s new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Throughout a successful career spanning three decades, Reginald has made significant contributions to the fields of banking, healthcare, and medical technology. With a combination of leadership and industry experience, he is set to lead MMCV, Inc. into an exciting future, as the organization works to improve health equity through investment in innovation.

MMCV, Inc. brings together Meharry Medical College faculty and students with healthcare experts, advisers, and investors to jumpstart the development of solutions designed to create health equity. For close to 150 years, Meharry Medical College has built a rich tradition of excellence in healthcare education and research, while preparing the next generation of diverse healthcare leaders. One of the oldest historically black medical schools in the country, Meharry is a highly regarded academic and patient care institution educating and training healthcare professionals from around the world. As a start-up innovation hub, MMCV, Inc. is working in support of the institution’s mission by identifying and accelerating go-to market opportunities for solutions poised to improve health outcomes and quality of life for all, while contributing to the financial stability and growth of the college.

Throughout his career, Reginald has held senior leadership positions in managed healthcare, health information technology, and medical devices, both in the United States and South Africa. Most recently, he served as the Head of Medicare Risk Adjustment Compliance with Cigna. In South Africa, he served as CEO of Aberrant Medical Supplies, overseeing a period of extensive growth for the healthcare technology and diagnostics equipment provider.
A Nashville native, Reginald began his career in banking, managing participant services, asset management, record keeping, and consulting. He leveraged this consulting experience to assist companies combat fraud, waste, and abuse; and has served extensively in leadership positions within the healthcare sector. Reginald is a graduate of Tennessee State University, and he is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated. He is the youngest of three siblings and a devoted husband and father to three children.
