“This is going to be more personalized care. Senior care centers are a needed resource in our community, and we can see this is a high-quality investment in Bordeaux."

Dedicated elevates access to personalized health care for seniors in the heart of Nashville with high-touch, VIP service

NASHVILLE – ChenMed, a leading provider of personalized, concierge-style primary care for older adults, with more than 130 centers across 15 states, is now open for patients in its first Dedicated Senior Medical Center in Nashville. This will enable seniors in the Music City to obtain outstanding primary care with 24/7 access to compassionate doctors, providers, and care teams. Dedicated’s Nashville center, its third in Tennessee, elevates access to personalized healthcare in Nashville’s Bordeaux neighborhood—the long-underserved 32718 zip code where thousands of older adults can benefit from the new medical practice.

Today more than 100 attendees, including Mayor Freddie O’Connell and District 2 Councilwoman and Deputy Director of Tennessee Department of Health, Kyonzté Toombs, joined prospective patients, local dignitaries, community partners, and clinical leaders to celebrate Dedicated Senior Medical Center’s grand opening with ribbon-cutting ceremony.

“Today is a transformative day. Historically, if you look at the history of Nashville and recently the development that’s been going on in Nashville, it hasn’t been happening in this area, in the Bordeaux area. We are one of the most under-resourced areas in the City, and residents obviously noticed that and have been wanting resources here for a very long time. We’re a healthcare desert. We’re a food desert. And so, to have the Dedicated Senior Medical Center to locate here is very transformative – particularly since we have a high senior population in this area,” proclaimed Councilwoman Kyonzté Toombs.

America’s Health Ranking 2023 Senior Report ranked Tennessee among the least healthy states for aging adults. The report also indicated that 10% of adults 65 or older in Tennessee are living in poverty. Nashville seniors who struggle to find and afford a doctor they trust can now access “The Dedicated Difference” at the new Bordeaux Center. It is a unique approach to primary care that’s striking a harmonious chord with underserved seniors in Tennessee and across America, by helping patients live happier, healthier, and longer lives with high-touch, personalized, transformative care.

"I love going there, and we’re just praising God for this center. We have a great time. You cannot ask for a better place than Dedicated Senior. When I say Dedicated, they are dedicated, and they make you feel right at home,” shared patient champion Ms. Regina Bough.

The innovative medical practice is working to address what Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. heralded more than 50 years ago: “Of all the forms of inequality, injustice in health is the most shocking and the most inhumane.”

“Every senior deserves compassionate, affordable care,” says Meera Kelley, M.D., regional chief medical officer for Dedicated Southeast. “Fully focused on preventive care, Dedicated earns our patients’ trust by delivering VIP service during every visit or call. We also encourage walk-in and same-day appointments for patients in need to transform health in ways proven to significantly reduce unnecessary emergency room visits and hospitalizations.”

A recent survey (N=82) of residents living in the Nashville area highlighted that 41 percent of people ages 65 or older and responsible for their healthcare decisions are eager to embrace a value-based care model like Dedicated, underscoring the strong demand for personalized, VIP-style services in the region:

  • 21 percent indicated, “I do not believe I’m getting the care I deserve.”
  • 19 percent of respondents stated, “I do not trust my doctor.”
  • 16 percent confirmed, “My doctor does not listen to my concerns.”

According to the survey, prospective patients say they're drawn to features that Dedicated offers, including, in priority order, doctors are familiar with Medicare; walk-in and same-day appointments; doctors who treat you like family; onsite testing and screenings; 24/7 access to personalized care team; coordination and communication with all providers; and telehealth.
