Keith Obstein named director of the Center for Experiential Learning and Assessment (CELA) and assistant dean for Simulation in Medicine Education

Keith Obstein, MD. MPH, professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition, has been named the director of the Center for Experiential Learning and Assessment (CELA) and assistant dean for Simulation in Medicine Education, effective Jan. 1.

In these roles Obstein will promote and implement simulation training across the medical education continuum for health care providers. He will be responsible for educational oversight of all aspects of CELA and its associated educational programs related to the use of simulation, including daily operational activities of the Simulation Technologies Program (STP), Program in Human Simulation and Surgical and Anatomical Simulation.
