For two years, Nashville Medical News (NMN) has appreciated the pleasure of serving the Greater Nashville metro area and Middle Tennessee with news-breaking healthcare trends of local and national interest, and to be an advocate for myriad medical innovations and clinical research in the region.

This is the last weekly editorial update and newsletter under our current business plan.  The website will now transition to a more static format for historical reference.

“We acquired Nashville Medical News almost two years ago to explore using our Content Engine platform to develop an online hub and marketplace for the B2B healthcare community in Middle Tennessee,” said Tim Choate, president and CEO of Bondware Inc. “Despite our best efforts, the business didn’t clear internal hurdles for continued development, leading to the decision to suspend operations at the end of January.”

NMN has been the premier publisher of B2B news content for the professional healthcare marketplace for 34 years. Chuck Brown established the publication in 1990 to keep Middle Tennessee’s burgeoning healthcare community informed and connected.

Over the years, NMN has undergone several ownership changes – most recently Graham-Sanders Publishing (GSP), which purchased the publication in 2016. Led by NMN's longtime creative director Susan Graham and managing editor Cindy Sanders, the principals at GSP decided to step back after more than two decades of work with the paper to pursue other adventures at the beginning of 2022. In February, GSP sold the publication to Bondware, launching a new era for NMN. Bondware continued the same award-winning coverage of news in an online, digital-first manner that includes a device-friendly website, email newsletter, and social media channels.

“Although this isn’t a business for Bondware at this time, we’ve seen enough interest from advertisers and thought leaders in the market to convince us a business opportunity exists for a small publishing operation with strong connections to the healthcare industry,” said Choate, noting NMN has nearly 5,000 subscribers and 28,000 page views daily. “Assets include the domain name, website content and mailing lists.
