Last month, Mark Harris, PhD announced Rob Metcalf has succeeded him as CEO of NextGxDx. Harris, who founded the healthcare information technology company in 2010, has elected to take a new leadership position as chief innovation officer, where his primary focus will be developing the next wave of transformative solutions for the genetic testing market.

"I couldn't be happier to welcome Rob to the NextGxDx team," Harris said. "As we move from startup to growth phase, Rob brings the skills, experience and successful track record necessary to scale NextGxDx into a world-class company."

Metcalf brings more than a decade of experience leading technology and information services businesses. Most recently, he served as president and COO for Digital Reasoning, a Nashville-based leader in cognitive computing. Metcalf received his MBA from Harvard Business School and earned his undergraduate degree from Princeton University.
