Sheridan, the Physician Services division of AMSURG Corp., has again expanded its anesthesiology services business and entered the Southern California market with its acquisition of Ambulatory Anesthesia Associates, Inc. and Genesis Anesthesia Services, Inc. The combined group employs 27 physicians covering six independent facilities, with Marina Del Rey Hospital representing its largest relationship.

Nashville-based LetterLogic, which designs and delivers patient statements for healthcare systems, has been sold to Boston-based private equity firm WestView Capital. Plans call for LetterLogic to retain its name but to partner with another company in the WestView portfolio, Apex Revenue Technologies out of St. Paul.

Diversicare Healthcare Services, Inc., a national provider of long-term care services based in Brentwood, recently announced the company has entered into Operation Transfer Agreements to assume the operations of 22 facilities from Golden Living, totaling approximately 2,600 acquired skilled nursing beds in Alabama and Mississippi. The transactions, which are expected to become effective in the fourth quarter of 2016, are anticipated to contribute in excess of $185 million in annual revenues. Diversicare will lease 20 facilities from Golden Living and will assume the leases of the other two facilities.

Dallas-based consulting firm Covalus has acquired Nashville-based Balfour Resource Group (BRG), a professional services unit of Balfour Beatty Construction. BRG was established in 1999 and has served clients in 34 states, Canada, Japan, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates. The transaction was a management buyout by three former Balfour Beatty executives. Covalus retained all contracts and staff of BRG and continues operations from the group's existing offices in Nashville and Dallas.

Dental practice manager Marquee Dental Partners has signed a deal to take over the operations of Mid Tennessee Dentistry, which runs eight area offices.
