Envision Physician Services has made several acquisitions over the past six weeks including Anesthesia Associates of New London, a Connecticut-based anesthesia physician group practice; Northside Emergency Associates, an emergency medicine physician group practice based in the Atlanta metropolitan area; and Infinity Healthcare, Inc., a multi-specialty physician group practice with more than 340 physicians and midlevel providers who deliver emergency and hospitalist medicine, anesthesia and radiology services to patients in Wisconsin and Illinois.
Community Health Systems, on the other hand, continues their selling spree. CHS completed the sale of their ownership interest in Rockwood Health System in the Spokane, Wash. area, four hospitals in Pennsylvania, and the 88-bed Lake Area Medical Center in Lake Charles, La.
CHS also announced a definitive agreement to sell the 103-bed Weatherford Regional Medical Center in the Dallas-Fort Worth area of Texas and the 126-bed Highlands Regional Medical Center in Sebring, Fla. to HCA. Both deals are expected to close this fall.
Brentwood-based Diversicare Healthcare Services recently purchased a 103-bed skilled nursing facility in Selma, Ala.
Worksite healthcare company Premise Health, also headquartered in Brentwood, recently purchased eHealthScreenings, a biometric screening company in San Antonio, Texas. Additionally, Nashville-based emids recently acquired Texas health information analytics company Encore Health Resources.
