Centerstone names John Lott as Chief Compliance Officer

Centerstone, a national leader in behavioral health and addiction services, has named John Lott as Chief Compliance Officer, effective March 10.

In this role, Lott will be responsible for the administration and oversight of Centerstone's compliance program, which covers all privacy and security matters. Lott and his staff work to detect and prevent any improper conduct and to promote adherence to the organization's legal and ethical obligations.

"John is a seasoned compliance professional and there is no doubt that he will quickly become an incredibly valuable asset for Centerstone. We're confident his skill and expertise will help us continue to carry out our mission of delivering care that changes people's lives," said Steve Holman, Centerstone's chief financial officer.

Prior to joining the team at Centerstone, Lott spent the last 15 years working in compliance, privacy, quality, and risk mitigation for a number of healthcare organizations, including Ernst and Young (EY), TEKsystems, Coquille Valley Hospital, Strategic Behavioral Health in Memphis, Tenn, and MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C. He holds a bachelor's degree in Social Relations and master's degrees in Educational Administration, Adult and Continuing education, and Jurisprudence-Health Law. Lott has also earned numerous professional certifications in health care compliance and privacy.
