Edson James Andrews, Jr., M.D., F.A.C.R., F.A.C.C. went to be with the Lord on September 2, 2021, at the age of 81. He was a fifth-generation doctor born in Tallahassee, Fl. He served during the Vietnam war as an officer in the Public Health Service, Infectious Disease Control, with the naval rank of Lieutenant Commander. He practiced in Pensacola, Florida, at the Medical Center Clinic/West Florida Hospital. He was appointed full-time Assistant Professor of Radiology at Vanderbilt University until his retirement. In addition to numerous career awards, publications, and appointments, he was awarded fellowships by the American College of Radiology and by the American College of Cardiology.

He is survived by his spouse of 59 years, Winifred, along with two sons, six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the funeral service begins at 11:00 pm, Friday, September 17, 2021, at Rose Lawn Funeral Home, 2942 Gulf Breeze Parkway, Gulf Breeze, FL 32563. Interment will follow at Rose Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Stroke Association.
