Nashville-based healthcare startup EvidenceCare announced this week the hire of Nashville healthcare veteran Tony Corley as the company's new chief financial officer.

EvidenceCare, a free clinical decision support tool for healthcare providers, was conceived in 2014 to solve a fundamental need for healthcare providers to find and quickly digest the latest treatment guidelines.

In 2016, the company launched its technology platform and currently has a variety of protocols for emergency medicine, antibiotic stewardship, gastroenterology and more, with content accredited by the American College of Emergency Physicians and the American College of Gastroenterology for CME credit. In addition, the platform integrates a patient education tool that enhances

the dialogue providers have with their patients and a feature that accelerates documentation into any EHR.

Corley became familiar with EvidenceCare through his work as managing partner and CFO at NueCura Partners, LLC, a healthcare angel investment company and early investor in EvidenceCare. Now in the 24th year of his career in the healthcare industry, Corley said he is looking forward to the opportunities this new role will bring.

"It's an exciting time to be coming on board at EvidenceCare," Corley said. "The company is growing rapidly, and there is nothing but possibilities ahead. The product truly has something special to offer the healthcare community, and it's great to be a part of it."

EvidenceCare Founder and CEO Dr. Brian Fengler said the company is thrilled about the wisdom and experience Corley will bring to the table.

"We're excited to welcome Tony and his expertise to the team," Fengler said. "Bringing him on helps us continue to build our organization's infrastructure and better accommodate the needs of customers and stakeholders as we continue to grow."

Corley has career experience with large and mid-sized companies, such as HCA, EY Healthcare Consulting and DSI Renal, now Davita, in the healthcare arena. Corley also currently serves as a board observer at Trilliant Health in Nashville and Pathfinder Health Innovations, Inc. in Kansas City, Missouri.

He also gives back to the Nashville innovation community by advising local startup CEOs in companies such as Forward It On and CaredFor.

Corley holds a bachelor of science from Auburn University as well as a master of business administration from Vanderbilt University. He is an active CPA in the state of Tennessee.
