Over the last several weeks, JourneyPure, a national provider of addiction treatment services headquartered in Nashville, has announced the addition of Stephen Loyd, MD, to the senior management team and a new partnership with Florida Counseling Centers.

Loyd, who has been named medical director of JourneyPure's services in Middle Tennessee, is a nationally recognized thought leader and clinician with deep experience in internal medicine, mental health and substance abuse services. Most recently, he served as medical director and assistant commissioner for Substance Abuse Services with the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services and was part of Gov. Bill Haslam's Opioid Workgroup. After graduating from UT Knoxville, Loyd earned his medical degree from the Qullen College of Medicine at ETSU, where he also completed his residency.

JourneyPure has expanded its southern footprint with the announced partnership with Florida Counseling Centers, which was founded by Mike Ronsisvalle, PsyD, in 2004. Ronsisvalle will serve as chief of clinical operations for JourneyPure's Central Florida operations. The addiction services provider also announced plans to open a residential treatment facility in the coming months adjacent to the Florida Counseling Centers outpatient center in Melbourne, Fla.
