KIMBERLY WELLS APPOINTED CEO OF PINEWOOD SPRINGS

Kimberly Wells has been appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Pinewood Springs in Columbia, Tenn., effective September 27, 2021. Wells currently serves as the Vice President of Operations for TriStar Horizon Medical Center in Dickson, Tenn.

As Pinewood Spring's new CEO, Wells will be responsible for operations at the 60-bed behavioral health hospital, a joint venture with HCA Healthcare's TriStar Health and Maury Regional Medical Center. The hospital provides a broad range of inpatient and outpatient services to treat both adults and adolescents with mood, thought, and co-occurring disorders within a supportive and therapeutic environment.

"Kimberly's leadership, commitment and dedication to high-quality patient care will be a great fit for Pinewood Springs. I am confident that she will continue to grow and expand our behavioral health services in Maury County," said Mitch Edgeworth, President of TriStar Health.

For the past four years, Kimberly served as Vice President of Operations and Ethics & Compliance Officer of TriStar Horizon Medical Center. She successfully opened the Joint Replacement and Orthopedic Center, Wound Care Center, expanded Interventional Cardiology and Oncology services and created a new care pathway for those in need of access to addiction recovery. Her leadership played a significant role in many process improvement initiatives that yielded top-ranking results.

Before joining HCA Healthcare, Kimberly spent the early part of her career at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She completed her post-graduate school fellowship in Hospital Administration, serving as a Senior Operations leader focused on growth and expansion. She has also spent time with Ascension Care Management in Population Health and completed training at The Washington Center in Washington, D.C.

Wells earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Communication from Juniata College and completed her Master's Degree in Health Policy & Administration from The Pennsylvania State University.
