Leadership Health Care (LHC), an initiative of the Nashville Health Care Council created to nurture the talent of Nashville's emerging health care leaders, has announced its 2020 award winners in the categories of Health Care Emerging Leader of the Year, Ambassador of the Year and Supporting Organization of the Year. The awards were announced at the virtual LHC holiday and awards reception on December 9.
Adam M. Harthcock, co-founder and COO at Utilize Health was named the Emerging Leader of the Year. This award is given to an individual LHC member who demonstrates outstanding leadership, motivation and talent within the industry. A member of LHC since 2015, Harthcock serves on the LHC Board and has shown a consistent motivation and dedication to helping others. Harthcock has used this motivation to drive him to co-found Utilize Health where he is responsible for operations, strategic planning and business development partnerships.
Keith Payet, CEO at UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Tennessee, received the Ambassador of the Year award. This award recognizes an individual member who has shown dedication and commitment to LHC and serves as a positive reflection of the organization's mission and goals. Payet has proven himself to be a vocal advocate for LHC, both inside and outside of his organization, by actively encouraging people to join and engage with LHC.
naviHealth was named the Supporting Organization of the Year for continually supporting LHC and the development of emerging leaders in health care through committed sponsorship of the LHC Executive Briefing Series. We continue to see naviHealth's commitment to our organization through the 20 employees from their company who are LHC members.
"This year's well-deserving award recipients speak to LHC's commitment and dedication to developing the talent of Nashville's emerging health care leaders," said Jordan Kendig, LHC board chairman and director of leadership and organizational development at HCA Healthcare. "Through our program offerings, LHC provides its members with exceptional educational content, as well as the opportunity to develop a professional network and personal relationships."
"LHC is pleased to recognize Adam, Keith and naviHealth for their achievements over the past year," said LHC Director, Molly Vice. "In a year that has been filled with a vast amount of uncertainty, I am proud that LHC continues to provide educational opportunities for our members, along with a space for them to virtually connect with their peers and build a reliable network they will carry with them throughout their careers."
