Brentwood-based LifePoint Health announced the promotion of Michael Grooms to chief accounting officer last month. Grooms has been with LifePoint for 12 years, originally serving as director of financial reporting. In his expanded role, Grooms will oversee the activities of the company's accounting department and financial reporting functions. This includes internal and external financial reporting, general and technical accounting, financial planning and analysis, capital spend and accounting for acquisitions. A graduate of Middle Tennessee State University, prior experience includes work at Delek US and KPMG.
