TriStar Centennial Medical Center recently welcomed Amber Price, DNP, CNM as chief operating officer for TriStar Centennial Women's Hospital and The Children's Hospital at TriStar Centennial.

Most recently, she served as associate administrator and vice president of Women and Children at The Women's Hospital at Henrico Doctors' Hospital in Richmond, Va. Prior to that, she worked as a director and associate professor at Virginia Commonwealth University, where she also served as an investigator on the National Institutes of Health's Human Microbiome Project. Price began her career in 2005 as a NICU nurse, and then as a certified nurse midwife at an OB/GYN practice in Virginia. She earned her undergraduate degree in nursing from Old Dominion University, her master's in the field from the University of Cincinnati, and her Doctor of Executive Nursing Practice degree from Johns Hopkins University in 2016. She also earned a post-master's certificate in Global Women's Health from the University of Cincinnati in 2010.
