The American Heart Association, the leading voluntary health organization focused on heart and brain health for all, is inviting Nashville back to its premier event, the Greater Nashville Heart Walk, to boost physical and mental health through healthy habits while supporting the lifesaving mission.
On Saturday, November 6, between 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., the Greater Nashville Heart Walk participants and teams are invited to Tennessee State University's Hale Stadium to celebrate heart and stroke survivors, raise lifesaving funds and encourage physical activity. This year's theme, Heart Walk Here, invites participants to walk Tennessee State University's path or to create a path of their own - for maximum flexibility. From parks and parkways to tucked-away trails, participants are invited to Heart Walk at whichever location they feel most comfortable that inspires their heart health.
Heart Walk Here is led by Woody Woodward, CEO of Kirkland's. "I am honored to be involved with the American Heart Association," states Woodward. "Their mission has the ability to make a significant impact on the lives of our family, friends and neighbors. As a survivor, I know first-hand how critical the American Heart Association's mission is to this community and am committed to work alongside our supporters to make a measurable difference on the health of our loved ones. I encourage everyone to walk at this year's Greater Nashville Heart Walk and help us create a healthier future."
To register, visit NashvilleHeartWalk.org.
