Woman- Owned Healthcare Company Appoints New Adult Medical Director

Keith Lovelady, pulmonologist and critical care medicine, has been named Medical Director of Breathe Easy Respiratory Solutions, Inc. (BERS). Breathe Easy is a woman-owned disease management company specializing in invasive and non-invasive respiratory care and focuses primarily on transition care from facility to home.

"Our goal is to provide excellence in patient care while providing cost savings to payors and involved facilities by reducing readmissions and shortening hospital stays for respiratory patients said Rose Miller Grindstaff, President. "Dr. Lovelady has a history of improving the lives of adult pulmonary patients. We are excited to have him as part of our team."

Dr. Lovelady attended University if Tennessee and Harvard School of Public Health. Post- doctural training, Internships and residencies were at Vanderbilt University with Pulmonary and critical Care Fellowships at Johns Hopkins University and Women's Hospital Harvard Medical School. He is an adjunct Assistant Professor of Medicine, Meharry Medical College.

Prior to Lovelady, Dr. Clyde Heflin was the medical Director for adult respiratory care. Heflin has now been appointed by unanimous vote to the Breathe Easy Respiratory Board of Directors.

Breathe Easy offers a comprehensive disease management program administered by licensed respiratory therapists. A transition team working together with hospitals and skilled care facilities Breathe Easy prevents unnecessary admissions and readmissions by offering program consisting medication review, nutrition, exercise, smoking cessation, and more. It has been successful in significantly lowering readmissions.

Both invasive and non-invasive adult and pediatric patients are served, with respiratory issues (neuromuscular, asthma, CHF, pneumonia, COPD, chronic respiratory disease, etc.)

Headquartered in Nashville, Breathe Easy is licensed as DME in Tennessee, Virginia, Mississippi, and Kentucky.
