Letter from the Editor
We are so excited about our plans for July. Our regularly formatted paper will be on hiatus for one month while we bring you InCharge Healthcare, a comprehensive contact list of key decision-makers covering the broad spectrum of Nashville’s healthcare industry.

Recognizing the city’s industry is always expanding and evolving, we hope to make this resource-rich publication an annual issue. Certainly, the pages will be worn out after a year of heavy use. Although advertising in this publication with an extended shelf life will soon be winding up, there is still time for interested parties to contact Ginny Staggs at 615-244-7989, ext. 240 or gstaggs@southcomm.com for more information.

Our traditional July issue is a very important one with pertinent information on health information technology, patient safety, and imaging … all hot button issues in the industry. With that in mind, we plan to include editorial on these important topics in the August issue.

I’d also like to congratulate one of our wonderful writers, Sharon Fitzgerald, who was recently honored with the Tennessee Mental Health Consumers’ Association Public Eye Award for her writing and the paper’s coverage of mental health issues at the end of 2009. Sharon’s award was announced at the association’s annual conference last month.

No surprise … we’re thrilled to receive such positive feedback, but we sincerely want to know what we can do better, as well. It is always our goal to bring you the best business and clinical information and to offer in depth coverage of our local industry. Please don’t hesitate to e-mail me directly at editor@nashvillemedicalnews.com or to go online to www.nashvillemedicalnews.com and use the “My Medical News” button to submit comments, suggestions and ideas.
