Last month, National HealthCare Corporation and Lakeshore Senior Living, Inc., jointly announced that NHC has begun managing two Lakeshore Senior Communities in Nashville.

NHC CEO Steve Flatt and Lakeshore Board Chair Patricia Gammel made the announcement of the management services agreement, which went into effect on Feb. 1 and has an initial term of five years.

Since 1952, Lakeshore Senior Communities have offered independent living, assisted living, nursing care, memory care and skilled rehabilitation services to seniors. Lakeshore, The Meadows, located in Bellevue, is licensed for 113 nursing beds and has another 20 Residential Home for the Aged (RHA) beds, designed for residents who can still live independently but require some assistance with daily activities. Lakeshore Heartland in Donelson is licensed for 66 nursing beds with an additional 22 RHA beds.
