Thomas Cowhey began a new role as chief financial officer for Surgery Partners earlier this month. He has more than 20 years healthcare finance experience. Previously, he spent more than a decade with Aetna, most recently as CFO of the Institution Business portfolio. Cowhey fills the position left open when long-time CFO Teresa Sparks resigned earlier this year.
