Alive Hospice Adds to Exec Team

Nashville-based nonprofit Alive Hospice, which provides end-of-life care, palliative care, bereavement support and community and professional education throughout Middle Tennessee, has added two to the executive team over the last several weeks. Alive currently serves more than 3,600 patients each year in 12 counties across Middle Tennessee.

Glen Grove has been named vice president of business development. In his new role, Grove is tasked with the advancement and execution of Alive's continued growth. In the past several years, the organization has expanded its programs and reach, opening a new 10-bed residence in Murfreesboro and adding administrative offices in Hendersonville and Lebanon. Grove brings 25 years of healthcare sales experience to Alive. Previously, he served as vice president of sales at MindCare Solutions in Franklin and as senior client executive of Nashville-based HealthStream, Inc., He earned his degree in marketing from Auburn University.

Fran Doehring has been named chief nursing officer. In her position as CNO, Doehring ensures Alive continues to provide quality, compassionate care to the patients served by directing the expert team of nurses. She brings more than 25 years of experience in nursing administration to Alive, which includes having served in several leadership roles at Vanderbilt University Medical Center from 1988-2003. Most recently, Doehring served in patient safety and quality leadership roles in Alabama. She earned her undergraduate nursing degree from the University of South Alabama and her master's in nursing from the University of Alabama - Birmingham.
