On Saturday, June 16, 2018, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Center for Women's Health Research at Meharry Medical College will present Greater Nashville United Against Breast Cancer, Breast Health Education Forum 2018 at the Global Mall at the Crossings, 5252 Hickory Hollow Parkway, Antioch Tennessee 37013
Keynote speakers for the event will be Shyrea Thompson, senior director of strategic initiatives at Susan G. Komen and Sheri Y. Prentiss, M.D., MPH, CPE, FACPE, African-American health equity initiative ambassador for Susan G. Komen. Thompson and Prentiss will lead an informal discussion on the recently launched effort "Know Your Girls," a national campaign to educate and inspire black women to understand their risk for breast cancer and to take charge of breast health. Other speakers will include Raeshell S. Sweeting, M.D., assistant professor of surgery at Vanderbilt University and Karen Correa, Ph.D., senior director of linical operations for Adare Pharmaceuticals.
