R. Jason Thurman, M.D., FAAEM, CPPS, has been named the first chief medical officer for both TriStar Skyline and TriStar Hendersonville Medical Centers. Thurman completed his medical degree at The University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine and his residency in Emergency Medicine at The University of Cincinnati. He previously served in a variety of leadership roles with Vanderbilt University Medical Center, including associate director of the Emergency Medicine Residency Program, director of Quality and Patient Safety for the Department of Emergency Medicine, and associate medical director of the Vanderbilt Stroke Center.
