Nashville — The Tennessee Pharmacists Association (TPA), the only professional association representing pharmacists in all practice areas across the state, today announced the hire of Emerald Johnson as Manager of Events & Administrative Affairs, Danielle McCoy, MPH as Project Manager and Brent Snyder as Manager of Communications & Digital Engagement.
In her role as Manager of Events & Administrative Affairs, Johnson will serve as the primary coordinator for all member events and programs. She will be responsible for leading the successful execution of events and member programs, overseeing day-to-day internal operations and administrative duties of the association and assisting the Executive Director.
An events industry veteran, Johnson joined her family’s event planning and coordinating business over a decade ago. Prior to joining TPA, she served as program specialist for the Department of Alumni and Constituency Relations at Jackson State University, where she planned, coordinated and oversaw all department events of varying scales. Johnson graduated from Tougaloo College with her Bachelor of Arts in political science.
As Project Manager, McCoy will ensure all key grant-funded projects of TPA and its foundation align with overall goals and objectives while maintaining the association’s mission and vision. She is responsible for planning and designating project resources, preparing budgets, monitoring all project progress from start to finish and communicating with stakeholders on project updates and timelines.
Prior to joining TPA, McCoy served as grants manager at the CDC Foundation where she was responsible for advising jurisdiction leadership on federal grant deliverables and monitoring grant awards for compliance with federal requirements. With over six years of experience in public health program development, management and implementation, she also served as program director for the Tennessee Department of Health. McCoy earned her Bachelor of Science in integrative physiology and health science from Alma College and her Master of Public Health from Mercer University.
As Manager of Communications & Digital Engagement, Snyder will lead design, development and dissemination of TPA news, including event promotion, program updates and engagement opportunities, to members and stakeholders. He will be responsible for leading the internal and external communications strategy for both TPA and its foundation, as well as implementing a digital engagement strategy.
With almost a decade of digital marketing experience, Snyder most recently served as CEO of his own digital marketing agency, Maxx Media & Marketing, where he managed the daily business operations and team and developed content, brand awareness and digital and social media marketing strategies for various clients. Snyder earned his Bachelor of Science in pre-med/biology from Bridgewater College.
“TPA has experienced an opportunity to bring on new team members this year, and we’re thrilled to welcome Danielle, Emerald and Brent to our team,” said Anthony Pudlo, TPA’s Executive Director. “Each of them are experts in their fields, bringing unique value and perspectives, and we look forward to the ways they will contribute to overall member experience and drive continued growth as we serve the profession across the state.”
