The Nashville board holds award.

Women in Healthcare Nashville has won the Chapter of the Year Award from the national organization.

The Chapter Award recognizes the Women in Healthcare chapter who has successfully made the largest impact on their members, industry, and community this year.

Women in Healthcare Nashville launched in January of 2020 with a single in-person program, before going entirely virtual until mid-2021. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the organizations adapted and quickly gained momentum, becoming Women in Healthcare’s fastest growing chapter to-date. The chapter maintains engagement with powerful programming that has resulted in consistently solid attendance, as well as utilized social media, where the chapter boasts more than 2,000 LinkedIn followers.

One of the most impressive accomplishments is the development of a unique, synergistic path that builds community and career growth for women. To accelerate women in healthcare, the chapter is meeting students where they are and have created important partnerships with educational institutions to introduce students to the full spectrum of health careers that are modeled by their members. Some of the institutions the chapter partners with include MTSU, Belmont School of Nursing, HCA’s Galen College of Nursing, and Meharry Medical College, the nation’s first and oldest historically black university.
