Registration now open for new conference bringing key leaders to convene in Healthcare Capital

NASHVILLE  – The Nashville Health Care Council, a premiere membership association for Nashville’s $95 billion healthcare industry, today launched registration for the inaugural Nashville Healthcare Sessions Conference, hosted at the Country Music Hall of Fame on September 18-22.

The Nashville Healthcare Sessions Conference will convene top players from the nation’s preeminent healthcare organizations, including providers, payers, funders, startups and associations, for a week of new connections, business opportunities, and innovative possibilities in Nashville, a key healthcare hub.

“Nashville is not only known for its tourism and music scene; we have a thriving healthcare ecosystem with over 900 healthcare companies – including the headquarters of 18 publicly traded companies – that employ more than 500,000 people and generate more than $95 billion globally in annual revenue and $67 billion in local economic impact,” said Nashville Health Care Council President Apryl Childs-Potter. “Nashville also has an undeniable entrepreneurial spirit that has attracted over $1.6 billion in venture capital investments in healthcare companies alone over the last ten years. The energetic and creative atmosphere of Nashville makes it  an ideal destination to host the top industry leaders from across the country.”

With a focus on innovation, attendees will learn from companies who are developing technology and devices to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the healthcare industry. Leaders of these institutions will showcase their revolutionary ideas, emerging solutions, and R&D discoveries that are transforming the landscape of healthcare, giving attendees a glimpse of what’s to come in the industry.

Sessions will also focus on healthcare financing, and investors present their vision for making the healthcare industry stable and secure. Attendees will gain knowledge into what financial firms are looking for, and how to position themselves to make the most of opportunities.

The week will start with a two-day conference produced by the Nashville Health Care Council, with keynote presentations and formal opportunities for networking. During the remainder of the week, Council member companies will host Associated Events throughout the city, including fireside chats, panel discussions and CEO dinners. Throughout the week, flexibility will be key with time built in for collaboration. Private spaces will also be available for conducting business.

“Our goal is to connect leaders from across the industry not only to learn from one another, but also to establish new relationships, pitch new ideas, conduct business and work together to solve problems,” said David Dill, chairman of the Nashville Health Care Council Board of Directors, and chairman and CEO of Lifepoint Health. “This conference will provide an opportunity for leaders to come away with strong connections and real, practical action items to move healthcare innovation forward.”
