Nashville-based nonprofit senior living community, Blakeford Senior Life, donated $30,000 worth of gently used kitchen appliances to Nashville Rescue Mission in May.

Wade Phillips, an Independent Living resident of Blakeford at Green Hills, coordinated a donation of Blakeford’s gently used kitchen appliances to Nashville Rescue Mission.

Blakeford donated a Rational Combination Oven, Southbend Double Convection Oven and an Alto-Shaam Hot Holding Box, which Nashville Rescue Mission will add to its kitchen to help provide food to those in need.

Phillips has been coordinating donations of excess food supplies to local charities for the past three years.

As Blakeford continues renovations on its campus, the staff works with Mr. Phillips to coordinate donations of food products and equipment that can be used to help others.

Blakeford is currently undergoing a $75 million campus-wide expansion.
