Gresham, Smith and Partners recently announced the firm has been selected by Saint Thomas Health, a member of Ascension Health, to provide architecture, interior design and engineering services for a vertical patient tower and surgery expansion project at Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro. The projects are part of a larger expansion plan to meet the long-term needs of the growing Rutherford County population.

The 52,000-square-foot, three-floor addition to the west patient tower will add 72 inpatient beds to the existing hospital, improving patient flow and providing additional capacity for all patient services.
