Clarke's focus is on leadership and strategic direction on clinical issues and the organization's initiatives on quality, patient safety and workforce activities. She joined THA in 2002 and serves as clinical liaison to national and state regulatory agencies, as well as oversees the association's public policies on hospital quality and patient safety. In 2007, THA received grant funding to establish the Tennessee Center for Patient Safety, which operates under her leadership and includes the Tennessee Surgical Quality Collaborative and THA's Hospital Improvement Innovation Network, among other programming. A registered nurse, Clarke received her degree from Vanderbilt University and has more than 30 years of nursing and industry management experience.
